    Christmas Blessings

I was tagged a couple weeks ago by Catholic Mom, but without power or internet, I am rather delayed in responding. Today, on Christmas, it seems like a perfect blog entry for the day.

    Blessings:

Post 3 blessings you remember receiving last Christmas in a blog

    1. My family

I have a great family and feel so lucky. My parents are wonderful. There are some amazing people in my extended family. You are born into a family, I feel like I have struck gold.

My created family is even more extrodanary. I love my husband. The Moo Girl is one of my biggest blessings. I feel truly blessed for all my family.

    2. Money

Last year, my husband received a large Christmas bonus. We were not expecting any bonus, so this was an unexpected surprise. Superficial? Probably. But, it made the expense of the holidays so much less stressful and really felt like a blessing.

    3. Jellybean

At the time, as morning sickness was starting to set in right before Christmas, she didn't feel much like a blessing. Today, I would say that she is my best present!

I am going to skip tagging anyone as they won't have a chance to respond before the end of the day!

    Six Weird Things About Me

    I was tagged by Guinevere...

    The Rules:

Each player of this game starts with the “6 weird things about you”. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says “you are tagged” in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

    Six Weird Things About Me!

    1. I have occasional obsessive behavior and sort items by color: clothes in the closet, beads, pens, color crayons etc. I can spend hours organizing by color. Also, alphabetizing, books, movies, CD's. I find it very satisfying.
    2. I get into really involved in an activity and six months later, move on. For example, one winter I learned to crochet, made four large, beautiful blankets and have never crocheted since. I don't even own a blanket that I made! I gave them all away as presents. That was six years ago. It makes my husband crazy, especially when he looks in (what I call) The Craft Closet or (as he calls it) The Front/Coat Closet. It is a little full of unused craft materials.
    3. I am an artist who loves math. Art and math have always struck me as opposites, but it makes my job in architecture work out as a great career choice!
    4. I like cream cheese on my hot dogs. If you like both hot dogs and cream cheese, I think that you would too! What is even better (when I have all the ingredients) is: hot dog, mash potatoes, cream cheese, ketchup, cheddar cheese, and grilled onions wrapped in a tortilla. Delicious!
    5. It took me forever to learn my left and right. When I was little (well, like 8), I would close my eyes and try to figure out which was my right hand and which was my left hand. I would then grab a pencil and try to write something to solve the mystery... I was almost always wrong. I still have a hard time, but driving and wearing a wedding ring both help. This abnormality is genetic. My dad is the same way, his mother is as well, and she had an uncle with the same problem. Isn't it weird what you pass to your kids?
    6. I love to move, but hate moving. I love living in a new location with new places around me to discover. I love a clean, organized new house. I hate the process of moving there.

Six Weird Things About T. Dum!

I know that this is not part of the tag, but there are so many funny, weird, unusual things about T. Dum, I just needed to add him!

    1. Every time he takes The Moo Girl to the grocery store, he lets her pick out a new type of cheese to try. I think that it is very nice of him to encourage her to try new foods and let her pick out something that looks interesting, but I think that it is funny that they focus on cheese.
    2. He tends to obsessed on funny things. Recent obsessions include: The Robin, Deer, The Mole, Our Mailbox.
    3. He cannot wink. The Moo Girl cannot wink, either. Jellybean started winking at us the day she was born.
    4. When other drivers on the road do not use their blinkers, he takes it personally. Seriously, he thinks that the lack of a turn signal is an act designed to make him mad!
    5. T. Dum loves white sauces and tends to add some type of white sauce to every meal. White sauces include: mayo, alfredo, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch, white cheeses (not technically a sauce, but when melted sauce-like!). Take a spaghetti dinner, he would add sour cream or mayo (not both) to spaghetti to "improve" upon the dinner.
    6. He only likes extreme sports. Football? No. Ultimate Fighting? Yes! Basketball? No, no, no. Skiing down a cliff? Certainly!
